The active ingredient in these products, beta-sitosterol, is a natural-occurring element in Serenoa Repens fruits that inhibits the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase which plays a key role in the transformation of the hormone testosterone into
5alpha-Dihydrotestosterone, also know as DHT.
The enzyme is present predominantly in the scalp and prostate.
To this form of hormonal by-product, the hair follicles are most sensitive and tend to
die-out in time.
This process is called male-pattern baldness or alopecia androgenetica.

Prokeratin® Prevent contains a mild, potentiated amount of inhibitor for the age group above 18 years old, men and women, and is mainly intended to be used as prophylactic medium.
This product will be available without medical prescription and can be used for every-day hair care. It is not recommended for pregnant women.
Prokeratin® ReGen - Anti Hair Loss Fluid with Minoxidil is designed for weekly application on the scalp skin, only on the affected area. Unlike the other Prokeratin® products which inhibit the 5-alpha reductase enzyme thus preventing the transformation of testosterone into DHT, Prokeratin® ReGen stimulates further hair growth on areas where hair is already thinned.
This product contains 3-hydroxy-2-imino-6-(1-piperidyl)pyrimidin-4-amine, chemical compound known as Minoxidil, and two other stimulants L-cysteine and Lysine, organic amino-acids know to promote and stimulate hair growth.
This product will be available without medical prescription.
Prokeratin® ReGen is not recommended for pregnant women nor to men and women under the age of 25 and is to be used maximum three times a week in combination with any Prokeratin® shampoo, Prokeratin® Revive or Prokeratin® SerComplex.
Dermatological information if you are allergic or have sensitive skin: Prokeratin® ReGen may produce mild skin irritation, redness, itchiness and in the first phase of the treatment you may even observe an increase in hair loss.
These side effects are known and normal for this product. They and can last anywhere from a week to a month. If you consider that they are no longer tolerable, interrupt the treatment with Prokeratin® ReGen and try again after a month.
Do not use it for longer than 6 months. After treatment hair shedding might occur.
After 6 months treatment you need to let the hair rest for at least three months and then you can continue with another 6 months of ReGen.
The use of Prokeratin® ReGen in combination with Prokeratin® ULTRA is not recommended due to increase chemical stress of the skin.
